Doc BLAdez – good to see excellent uses of Novation Dicers.
Ichy the Killer – smooth operator but watch out that your camerman doesn’t throw their shadow over your performance as this can be very distracting. People want to watch you closely without wondering whether a car or person will pass by outside when your film shows the open door.
DJ FREAZER (Cicente Frias) from Spain is Kool. Left his best stuff till last. Why only one Technics sticker? Go to the dmcworld.com/store and buy yourself a full set!
Dj S a.k.a Jaime Astudillo sees Ecuador entering the DMC’s. Two camera technique or is this a one camera edit? Either way it makes for a thoughtful and viewable 2 minute set with excellent lighting.
This is not a filming contest but good filming, the right angle, no back-light, all makes you more watchable. Then all you have to be is more listenable than everyone else!
Cordella, great as ever but what’s with allowing two strips of light in behind you? Look at what it does to the film, again, close the curtains, put some light behind the camera and you’ll look like the BBC are filming you! But a great performance and love your moses-tablet graphics.
Randy Del Rosario – silky smooth. I’d like to see more from you, six minutes should feature more thrills and spills. And watch out for that mirror at the back of your console, it distracts….people need to stay focused on YOU.
“Dj Empte - (Gonzalez Sanchez Angel) What the hell you wanna change your name to Empte with a great name like Angel? How about AngelCutz ?
You cut this up good: “Yo wahatzup…this is hip-hop” But I wanted you to get right down to the one-word cut Yo - Yo - Yo - Yo. So if you get through to the 6 minute final strettttttttch yourself buddy!
Well I could Blog on all day but wanted to register how great you all are in this round, nice too to see new-blood cuttin’ their way through. Now it’s over to the DMC World Champions so hold your breath and good luck to you all.
ONE LAST THING….UPLOAD YOUR FILM IN PLENTY OF TIME IN CASE YOU ARE TAKEN DOWN WITH TOO LONG A FILM. THEN YOU’LL HAVE TIME TO EDIT IT DOWN OR DO A NEW ONE. Quite a few DJs didn’t make this round because they ran over 2minutes (we allow 3 seconds over) so in this final submission stage try to hit 2 minutes to be on the safe side. Put a bloody alarm clock by the side of your decks!!!!!
Tony Prince.

Thank you Tony Prince for the great words of wisdom and advice. That alone was humbling coming from the master himself. I’ve embraced your words with open arms and will continue to work hard and make myself a better DJ that YOU want to see. Salute Tony!
