Tony Prince, founded DMC with his wife Christine in February 1983. He had introduced DJ mixing into his Radio Luxembourg dance music programme in 1981 exposing the developing art to 50 million listeners. His career began as a singer and became a full time DJ when the UK Musicians Union expelled him for playing records when the band had a break. He became part of the small team of musical mutineers, the UK 60's pirates who broadcast from Radio Caroline. He then joined Radio Luxembourg and stayed with Europe's largest commercial radio station for 16 years.

We apologise to all competitors and voters as the voting system has failed in recent days. DMC await a full report and explanation from Talenthouse who unfortunately are based in California on a different time-cycle than we in Europe. It would seem they also have week-ends off so we have been unable to communicate at this time. Let me say however we are knocked out with the high stanfards in this round and can’t wait to get you all to the FINAL 6 minute TOP 30 DJs battle.
