Tony Prince, founded DMC with his wife Christine in February 1983. He had introduced DJ mixing into his Radio Luxembourg dance music programme in 1981 exposing the developing art to 50 million listeners. His career began as a singer and became a full time DJ when the UK Musicians Union expelled him for playing records when the band had a break. He became part of the small team of musical mutineers, the UK 60's pirates who broadcast from Radio Caroline. He then joined Radio Luxembourg and stayed with Europe's largest commercial radio station for 16 years.

Ten DJs breath eaiser as we announce the first ten to go through to the 2012 DMC ONLINE DJ CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL. Start working on your 6 minute set guys and let’s see some brilliant moments from you all. I have to say it’s great to see a DJ from Chile come top of the public voting (Deejay B-Ese. With Styluxtakut from Singapore coming second and Portugal’s DJ Nucleo third. When it came to the DMC world Champions voting it was Fong Fong who took the points, great to see him and Jon 1st back for more this year - good luck guys. I was wondering where the USA contingency was and then here they are at 6/7/8 and the UK’s legendary Ritchie Ruftone squeezing in to 9th with another ‘outsider nation’ Switzerland’ just making it in at 10.
So now for the next 10. Oh and by the way, dmcworld magazine now feature some great filmed DJ interviews (DJ TV) www.//dmcworld.net and on Thursday we’ll be tipping our hats to the great DMC World Champion CASH MONEY!
