Tony Prince, founded DMC with his wife Christine in February 1983. He had introduced DJ mixing into his Radio Luxembourg dance music programme in 1981 exposing the developing art to 50 million listeners. His career began as a singer and became a full time DJ when the UK Musicians Union expelled him for playing records when the band had a break. He became part of the small team of musical mutineers, the UK 60's pirates who broadcast from Radio Caroline. He then joined Radio Luxembourg and stayed with Europe's largest commercial radio station for 16 years.

With just 6 hours to go before the end of ROUND 1 voting, the DMC ONLINE DJ CHAMPIONSHIP 2012 has attracted a reach of almost 4 million people through Facebook and Twitter alone. The TOP 3 public voted DJs are guaranteed a place in the final, duirng the next few days however DMC WORLD DJ CHAMPIONS will decide, from all the competitors, which 7 will also go through.
This will happen on two more heats bringing us to an exciting TOP 30 FINALISTS Tuesday 4th September is the day the new ONLINE DJ CHAMPION is announced (check out the Calendar on the menu for the full detail). Once again I’d like to wish every DJ around the world good luck. The DJ industry has never attracted so much interest, it’s quite remarkable, even Simon Cowell wants to be a mobile DJ, but he’ll never make it! )
