Welcome to the DMC Online DJ Championship
The DJ world's greatest creative journey.
This incredible DJ competition launched in 2011 and our first ONLINE CHAMPION was Germany's DJ UNKUT. This competition is open to any DJ in the world. This year's competition will see 3 Rounds followed by the Final. Submissions for Round 1 take place between Wed 22nd Feb - Mon 19th March. DMC launch this year's event with the ability to vote and submit via Facebook so expect more views and supporters than year 1!
Entry to this year's competition is FREE! Submissions for this year's event will be accepted from Youtube, Vimeo and Muzu.
How To Enter The Competition

• Click On The 'Participate' Tab
• Participants must submit their video using a Vimeo, YouTube or MUZU URL and then click 'Get Video'. Videos must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to the submission deadline
• Participants must complete the following details in the MUZU Registration Page if they submit their video using MUZU
• When submitting your video, participants must complete BOTH fields on the submission form : 'Title' (the title of their submission) and 'Description' (providing information about their submission)
• All submissions forms are on the 'Particpate' Tab
Voting
After each 4 WEEK SUBMISSION PERIOD, ALL videos go live at the same time.
Once the submission period ends and the voting period starts, each submission will be able to be viewed and voted upon through a dedicated voting page showcasing each DJ's work. Each voting page will have a Facebook and a Twitter button, which users can use to cast their votes. Anyone can vote as long as they have a Facebook account or Twitter account.
There will be a 1 week voting period for each round, so pay attention to the voting dates, to make sure you tell all your friends and fans to vote! The public vote for their favourite videos, and after the week voting period, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place automatically go through to the final and the DMC World Champions choose another 7 finalists from each round to go through to the Final.
After all three rounds have taken place, all the finalists will upload their 6 min performances for 'THE FINAL'. All videos go live at the same time for the public to vote.
The World Champions then receive the public votes and take into consideration how the public voted, when choosing the winner and runner up.
On Tuesday 4th September, the DMC Online DJ Champion 2012 will be announced, a title that will echo down the corridors of DJ history.

DMC Online DJ Championship 2012 Rules
• DJ VIDEO SUBMISSION and Public voting is FREE
• DJs can upload and submit their performances by using one of the following hosting facilities - Youtube, Vimeo and Muzu TV.
• Film duration is a maximum of two minutes in each of the 3 Rounds and 6 minutes in the Final.
• There will be no limitations on the equipment the DJs wish to use in their performances, however should they win the ONLINE DJ CHAMPIONSHIP they will be required to abide by the equipment stipulations of the live DMC WORLD DJ CHAMPIONSHIPS (which will allow Digital Vinyl Software) in the 2012 Final.
• The Public top voted 1st, 2nd and 3rd automatically go through to the Online Final, along with another 7 competitors chosen by the DMC World Champions per round.
• Each DJ should introduce themselves by showing their face on camera to confirm their identity in their performances.
• In the Final, the 30 DJs still standing will be required to perform and upload a full six minute set for public voting. The DMC World Champions then review the public vote and all Final submissions, the DMC World Champions then Choose a winner and runner up.
• The DMC Online DJ Champion will win a paid trip to LONDON for the DMC World DJ Finals to be staged in September/October, in which they will have three options:
1. Compete at the World Elimination level with all DMC NATIONAL CHAMPIONS for the title DMC WORLD DJ CHAMPION 2012 (abiding by the World Final equipment limitations).
2. If the winner chooses not to compete, they have the option to perform their WINNING six minute DMC Online DJ Champion set live on stage.
3. Or simply be DMC's guest of honour and hang-out for three days with the world's greatest DJs.
• The prize includes an economy flight from wherever in the world they live plus hotel accommodation at the official DMC hotel.
• Travel permits/visa, if required, are the responsibility of the winner.
• This competition is open to any age. If the winner is under the age of 16, eligibility to travel to London will be subject to parental permission.
• DMC retains rights to change and alter the rules of the contest whereby and when, in their opinion, it is in the interest of the events credibility and competition fairness.
• Your video must not contain nudity, pornography or sexually explicit visual content.
• Free speech is welcomed and everyone has a right to express their point of view. We do not condone hate speech and will not abide racism (attacking or demeaning a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age and sexual orientation/gender identity).
• Videos can be removed without notice if their content is deemed to be inappropriate to the spirit of DMC's Online DJ Championship.
