It was 7 am. I went into the web admin area and saw one film waiting for approval. There are just a handful of people who can approve film, me, Sally, Dan our IT king and Susan who you’ll often see gathering the judges forms on stage at the DMC Finals.
I’d just woke up and was into my first cup of coffee, always the best.
I’d had a shit day yesterday and the coffee started to ready me for the day ahead. I wondered how this week’s DMC World Champions would judge the Top 10 later today and if the world out there (you) would agree?
The DJ I was about to check came on screen, a graphic introduced him. I checked his time, he had to be under 2 minutes although we’re flexible and generous by a few seconds over as you may have seen.
I had to make sure we see his face and was considering whether his graphic would stand as evidence when suddenly, I was no longer thinking of the coffee, the graphic, the timing, he had me in his grip.
The new entry filled my screen, two minutes flew by, new hope filled my heart, new talent with new energy and gallons of confidence told me…..the battle is on!
God bless America. I hope he does well, I’ll be watching all you guys for the next two weeks as usual and I and an army of fans who come here, will know you all that little bit better. Somewhere in here is a World Champion, someone who can make a career touring the world. One of you will become an instant legend if you win the title DMC ONLINE DJ CHAMPION and that’s worth far more than the $3000 cash that’s been added to the prize trove.
I wonder if STYLXTKT (Singapore) can hold Number 1 for 14 days and if the current top 5 New Zealand’s Impact, Germany’s A-Plus, Spain’s Djempte and USA’s Dreamstate will finish in the Top 2?
I love this competition. I think it’s going to be a good day.

Imagine Switch with a massive orchestra playing with him LIVE! That my friends is exactly what’s going to happen . The Royal Albert Hall is our old scratching ground, it will be good to be back there. I’m off to book my tickets.
