How The DJ Competition Works
Welcome to the DMC Online DJ Championship - the DJ world's greatest creative journey.

This incredible DJ competition launched on Feb 3rd 2011 and will be open for DJs to enter their first videos on Feb 14th 2011 before the voting starts on March 3rd.

Every two weeks the public vote for their favourite DJ sets deciding the top 10, which will then be judged by DMC World DJ Champions.

Each winning DJ and the runner-up go through to the August final where all DJs will be required to upload their six minute filmed performance.
Once again the public will vote for their favourites, and the top 10 will then be judged by DMC World DJ Champions.

On September 5th one DJ will be crowned the world's first DMC Online DJ Champion.

Step 1
 
If you are a DJ and want to enter the online competition you will need to register!
 
 
Step 2
 
Once you have registered to enter the DJ competition, you will receive an email giving you simple instructions to upload your video.
 
Step 3
 
Spread the word by asking your fans and friends to check out the competition and your video. We will send you ideas by email on how to prepare your set to gain maximum impact and we'll also send you tips showing you how to get voters watching your set plus loads of general information on how the DJ competition works.
 
Step 4
 
Once you have uploaded your video visit the site regularly to keep an eye on your progress in the competition.

Each Round lasts 2 weeks throughout which the public will be voting.

The public's Top 10 DJs will then be judged by DMC World Champions and the 2 winners will be announced the following day at 5pm/17.00 GMT.

We will email you if you win a Round and have been chosen to prepare a six minute set for the Final in August.

February 3rd 2011, 5pm/17.00 GMT - The Launch Of The DMC Online DJ Championship
DJs can now upload their two minute videos for the world to see. We encourage DJs to do this as soon as they have their two minute video ready so you can then spread the word to your friends and fans. Voting will commence on 3rd March.
 
March 3rd - 5pm/17.00 GMT - Round 1 of the Online DJ Championship
All videos open for the public vote. There will now be a new Round every two weeks until August giving 11 rounds in total.

Round 1 - March 3rd - March 17th

Round 2 - March 17th - March 31st
Result announced April 1st

Round 3 - March 31st - April 14th
Result announced April 15th

Round 4 - April 14th - April 28th
Result announced April 29th

Round 5 - April 28th - May 12th
Result announced May 13th

Round 6 - May 12th - May 26th
Result announced May 27th

Round 7 - May 26th - June 9th
Result announced June 10th

Round 8 - June 9th - June 23rd
Result announced June 24th

Round 9 - June 23rd - July 7th

11 winners and 11 runners up will be announced and they will upload their final 6 minute performances (DJs will be emailed instructions when to upload their 6mins). The 22 Finalists will be announced on August 5th.

The DMC World DJ Champion's decide the winner from the public's 10 chosen finalists. Result announced September 5th.
