ROUND 8 begins.

I’m off to Zurich for the International Radio Festival to pay tribute to THE 60’s UK PIRATES. I’ll be on from 20.00 – 22.00 UK time. If you’d like me to give you a shout out, blog me the details.
DMC will be launching a new radio channel, magazine and download site this summer and I think you’re gonna like it big time. Sally will have a show!!!
The site is now playing the different stations who are hosting air time at the Zurich event so here’s where you can find me next Wednesday:

…and so Round 8 is underway Cwitch, your ok but that bloody go-go dancer of yours is hot!!!

Chmeilix, not sure there’s anything profound going on in your set but I’m really pleased Poland are waking up.
Nice decks!!!

DJ BLU blows in from Japan with some seriously complicated shit. The first part is literally a live remix of the track with drop-ins and Fx and I was worried he was going to be a technological remixer but then, just when I thought it was too late, at 1.30 he kicked it good. Terrific ending too. Watch this guy, he’s the DJ bridge to tomorrow.

Now DJ Buruaaaa from Japan….what I want you to do is watch his right hand especially in the part beyond one minute. You are watching two talented bloody fingers!!!! You will see which are his two favourite fingers in the very last frame! Oh yes…. I love the mixer!

Dreamstate, great to have you back and you’re “getting better all the time” (as the Beatles used to sing). But look, I hate the yellow deck plate. Get blue ones please.
Winning the DMC’s is about two things, musicianship and creativity. Creativity is about doing something quite different, something that no one ever done before. You’ve got the right idea as you change tempo but I’m not sure the second part (slow part) is as entertaining as it could be. Always finish your performance on a high.

DJ CASSETTE, your name does not do justice to your modern approach….”cassette’s are dead, long live Cassette”!!!
Here boys and girls is a fine demo of the dicer in action. Two little gismos on the corner of your decks that can charge your creativity dimensions to peek performance.
Think you lost it at 1.00 Cass my boy but by 1.20 you were cooking on gas and I was willing you on right to the Cash Money ending!

OK, looking forward to seeing more new entries over the next couple of days and to chatting with you when I get back from Zurich.

Have a bloody great week-end…that’s an order!

Bloody Tony.

Greetings from me and Sally,

Here we are in France looking for those French DJ’s who haven’t had the balls to compete online….Couldn’t find one anywhere!
