DMC, pioneers of so many aspects of International DJ Culture over the past three decades, broke the boundaries of the DJ World once again in 2011 when launching the enormously successful Online DJ Championship which now enter its fourth season. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned pro or you are ready to launch your career, the DMC ONLINE DJ CHAMPIONSHIP is now taking entries so sign up and get entering a 2 min video today!

This annual world wide DJ competition will put your filmed set in front of a global audience and the winner gets to compete with their DJ heroes in the DMC WORLD DJ CHAMPIONSHIPS later this year! There are no limitations on the equipment the DJs wish to use in their performances. There are 11 rounds in total. Click here to view the 2014 calendar.

Every two weeks the public vote for their favourite DJ sets deciding the top 10, which will then be judged by DMC World DJ Champions. The DMC World Champions then decide the winner from each round to go through to the August final where all DJs will be required to upload their six minute filmed performance. Then in the 11th round all remaining video submissions that didn’t make the final go live for public vote. The public vote will decide on 2 DJs (1st place and Runner up) and they will be entered into the Online Final as the public voters choice. The Online Final will consist of 12 different DJs. On September 2nd one DJ will be crowned the 2014 DMC Online DJ Champion.

The Online Champion gets an expenses paid trip to the 2014 DMC WORLD DJ CHAMPIONSHIPS in London to take on the rest of the world’s national DJ Champions! If the Online Champion does not wish to compete or perform in the live event they can just come to London to enjoy the occasion.

In the August Online Final, the final 12 DJs will be required to upload a 6 minute performance. The videos will go live for public viewing on Tuesday 19th August. All DMC World Champions will be sent the 12 videos and they will decide who is The DMC Online Champion 2014. The results will be announced on Tuesday 2nd September.

How The DJ Competition Works

The competition is open for solo DJ performances only. DJs upload a two minute filmed set to enter any of the 10 Rounds and the public vote for their favourite performances.

The 10 DJs with the highest number of votes in each Round will be judged by DMC World Champions who then choose the winner of each round. Don’t worry if you don’t make it first time, because you can enter as many times as you want. (Once you are chosen as a winner of a round you will not be allowed to enter any more rounds. The FINAL will consist of 12 different DJs).

In the 11th round all video submissions that have not made it through to the Online Final will be re-submitted. The public then vote for 2 weeks and they decide which 2 remaining DJs will go through to the Online Final as the Public Voter’s Choice. (THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VOTING IN THE ONLINE FINAL. THE FINAL WILL BE JUDGED BY THE DMC WORLD CHAMPIONS ONLY)
