Tony Prince, founded DMC with his wife Christine in February 1983. He had introduced DJ mixing into his Radio Luxembourg dance music programme in 1981 exposing the developing art to 50 million listeners. His career began as a singer and became a full time DJ when the UK Musicians Union expelled him for playing records when the band had a break. He became part of the small team of musical mutineers, the UK 60's pirates who broadcast from Radio Caroline. He then joined Radio Luxembourg and stayed with Europe's largest commercial radio station for 16 years.

Germany’s UNKUT cut himself the historic title, world’s first ever DMC ONLINE DJ CHAMPION 2011. We decided we were always going to give the title to someone new every year so Uncut will be sitting this one out. This is your chance to get yourself known, I can never stress how important it is to get battle-hardenned, to build up your confidence. Remember you have three submission heats this year and three exciting one week voting periods leading to a TOP 30 FINAL where you’ll be expected to produce your full six minute mix. For now you have two minutes to let the world know you’re here. The entries are now starting to arrive, the DJs are now starting to make their fans friends and family know their support WILL be needed. But don’t think for one minute someone will win these amazing prizes purely on friendship levels. Once again DMC will be calling on our dozens of DMC WORLD CHAMPIONS to help adjudicate the public’s short lists. We believe in fair play and will move heaven and hell to make sure the right DJs make it to the final. SEE YOU THERE?
