Tony Prince, founded DMC with his wife Christine in February 1983. He had introduced DJ mixing into his Radio Luxembourg dance music programme in 1981 exposing the developing art to 50 million listeners. His career began as a singer and became a full time DJ when the UK Musicians Union expelled him for playing records when the band had a break. He became part of the small team of musical mutineers, the UK 60's pirates who broadcast from Radio Caroline. He then joined Radio Luxembourg and stayed with Europe's largest commercial radio station for 16 years.

Hi. Hope everyone enjoyed the 2011 World Finals and I can’t see anyone arguing with the results this time round. Caertainly Kireek,s 2011, Nelson (Supremacy) and Vajra (World) will have their performances featured in head to heads with other world-winning performances over the next 3 months.
Starting tomorrow at 5pm (that’d be noon in New York, breakfast time in LA), our entire history of DMC starts to play itself out in the ultimate Battle of the Giants and I hope you’ll all pop by each day to make your own votes count. We’ll be working on the 2012 ONLINE DJ CHAMPIONSHIP now and I need to confirm what I told unKut on stage on Friday night in London, the event can only ever be won once by any DJ. The reason for this is we want to ensure that it opens the door for new DJs every year. I’ll also remind you what I banged on about all last year, don’t enter simply to win, enter to market yourself. This event attracted 1.5m views last year so DJs who entered are known all over the world.
I was given a new Barbie DJ console by our Texan DMC agent Mia and the thought struck me….I wonder if we’ll be seeing old FileSpnr adapting a set using this?????
Do me a favour, as well as vote regularly, spread the turntablist word, get the young kids hooked on the art. You couldn’t do the art a bigger favour.
